December Concert News

We are pleased to announce that we will be performing a Holiday Concert this year on December 19, at 7 p.m. — please note the date and time change from our earlier proposed schedule.
We will use the Kemper Center Auditorium once again, however, this time, the orchestra will be performing on the main floor area in order to allow our live-streaming crew to better record the concert. This means that we will have fewer tickets available, and that they will be on the stage, in the balcony, and a few on the main floor of the Auditorium. The concert will be live-streamed on our Kenosha Symphony Orchestra YouTube channel. The link will be made available on Facebook and our website, kenoshasymphony.org.
As we have watched the rates of infection spike here in Wisconsin and across the Midwest, we have thought carefully about how to proceed in a way that keeps all parties safe, even as we strive to bring hope and joy and that elusive feeling of social connection to our community. As we did for our October concert, we will follow the current government recommendations for public gatherings. If you are interested in attending the concert in person, we will open ticket sales to the public on December 7, here on the website and on our Facebook page.
These precautions and requirements will be in effect: no tickets will be available at the door. Social distancing prior to check-in will be required – please do not gather in groups. Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to the performance. Ticket holders will check in one by one at the front door of the auditorium, where they will receive a temperature check, and be required to wear a mask to enter (and stay in) the auditorium. Seats will be cleaned before the performance and programs will be placed on each seat. There will be no intermission, and patrons will be ushered out of the auditorium at the end of the concert, starting with the back row. Musicians will also be wearing masks.
Thank you again for your continued support of your Kenosha Symphony Orchestra!
